Rochelle Humes has hinted that she was still feeling the effects of her night celebrating Marvin’s 40th birthday after organising a lavish bash for her husband.
The JLS star turned the milestone age last Tuesday (March 18) in what is a busy month for the Humes household as Rochelle also celebrated her birthday in the same week, turning 36 on Friday (March 21).
But the This Morning star put all focus on her other half, who she has been married to for 13 years this year, as she organised a huge birthday party which took place on Saturday night (March 22) at The Savoy in London.
The night seemingly began with a sit-down meal that saw some of the guests sitting at a long table in a private dining area of the hotel, with the table having been lined with candles in glass holders.
Alongside a picture of the set up on her Instagram Story, Rochelle commented: “The definition of calm before the storm…” It came after she shared a picture of night falling on the iconic hotel and said on Monday as she reflected on the event: “A weekend we will never forget…”
The party, which appeared to be black tie, then got underway and it, of course, saw plenty of music, with their DJ friends taking to the decks before a number of performers took to the stage, including So Solid Crew’s Romeo and Lisa Mafia, with the addition of both Rochelle and Marvin’s bandmate Aston Merrygold both seen taking to the mic during the group’s classic track, 21 Seconds.
Alongside a clip of them in action, Rochelle told her more than two million followers: “The night SO SOLID had a lot of new members they didn’t ask for…” adding the crying laughing and melting face emojis.
But it was clearly the night of all nights as Rochelle posted a picture on Monday morning to her Instagram Story as she headed for an early morning workout. Posing in her black gym gear, the mum-of-three said: “Now sure how but I made it through… Happy Monday!”
It came after Rochelle gave a closer glimpse inside the celebrations as she said: “@marvinhumes is 40!!!! Oh an boyyyy did we celebrate!? What a milestone – a weekend full of laughter, love, way too much tequila, and, most importantly, unforgettable memories!”
The former The Saturdays singer added on Instagram: “A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped me organise and travelled far and wide to be there!”
Marvin was quick to respond as he wrote in the comments section: “Still on cloud 9! What an unforgettable night and week baby..can’t thank you enough..all the planning and prep that went into this..the outcome was sensational..memories for life..I love you..”
